Twentieth-century registo de santos tile panel, painted in cobalt blue on a white ground. The central image depicts Saint Anthony holding baby Jesus, framed by a Baroque-inspired ornamental surround of shells, scrolling foliage and stylised architectural elements. The composition draws on the Portuguese tradition of devotional façade panels, which were commonly placed above doorways or on house fronts as expressions of faith and protection.
