Star Pattern Tiles, Bordalo Pinheiro
Period: Late 19th Century to Early 19th Century
Dimensions: 56 cm x 42 cm ( (22.05 x 16.54 inches) (compositions with other dimensions can be made)
Tile with raised decoration inspired by Hispano-Moorish design. The pattern forms an eight-pointed star enclosing small circles with starry borders. This same element repeats on the exterior of the star, alternating with small diamonds. Produced at the Caldas da Rainha Ceramics Factory, Bordalo Pinheiro.
