Rocaille Tile Patchwork Panel – Second Half of the 18th Century

A patchwork composition made up of Portuguese tiles from the second half of the 18th century, decorated with elements characteristic of the rocaille style. The various fragments feature scalloped motifs, scrollwork, plant motifs, and architectural details, rendered in a polychromatic palette dominated by manganese, yellow, green, and blue. Originally part of larger ornamental compositions, these tiles have been rearranged here into a contemporary composition.
